SINOPSIS
La película cuenta la historia de Ned Kelly (Orlando Schwerdt, George MacKay), una de las figuras australianas más famosas del país, que vivió en el siglo XIX. Ned le escribe cartas a su hija para contarle su propia vida, la vida de un hombre que no tuvo más remedio que ser un proscrito. Cuando era niño, su madre (Essie Davis), le vendió a un bandido, Harry Power (Russell Crowe), que le enseña el mundo del crimen. Años después, Ned vuelve a casa de su madre, pero ahora es un hombre enfadado y endurecido por los hechos que ha vivido. Decide formar una banda con su hermano Dan (Earl Cave) para aterrorizar a las autoridades británicas en la Australia de la época, asolada por la pobreza y por el hambre. Así, Ned comenzará un viaje que le convertirá en una leyenda.
